Ustaz Aydarus Ahmad Alhabshi
Ustaz Aydarus is the founder and chief mentor of Revamp.sg, where he has spent more than 20 years working closely with youth, families, and community development through a deeply human and Islamic-centered approach.
Growing up between government school and Madrasah throughout his primary and secondary school years, he experienced firsthand the tension many young people quietly carry while trying to balance school, identity, friendships, expectations, and faith in today’s world. That journey shaped the way he understands and connects with youth today, not only through teaching, but through listening, observing, and walking alongside them through real life struggles and questions.
Raised by parents devoted to teaching and community service, he was taught early that Islam is not merely about information or rituals, but about sincerity, character, mercy, self-awareness, and the way a person carries themselves through life. His journey later took him from Singapore to the spiritual city of Tarim, Yemen, and back again, where life experiences, personal loss, rebuilding, and years of working closely with people from different walks of life further shaped the way he approaches guidance today.
Over the years, he began noticing a deeper concern quietly affecting many young people growing up in today’s world. Children are becoming increasingly surrounded by noise, trends, screens, validation, pressure, comparison, and constant influence, yet very few are ever taught how to pause, reflect, understand themselves, or think deeply about the kind of person they are becoming while growing up.
Through his programmes and sessions, his focus has never simply been about producing academically successful children, but about helping young people grow into grounded, respectful, emotionally aware, thoughtful, and sincere human beings who are able to carry goodness within themselves while navigating the modern world around them.
