REturn - 28th Intake
A foundational solat course for youths and adults
Many people want to improve their solat, but do not always know where to begin.
Some are unsure whether their wudhu is correct. Some struggle with the movements or recitations. Some learnt when they were young, but never had the chance to revisit the foundations properly.
REturn is Revamp’s signature solat course, designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and practical guidance needed to strengthen their prayer.
The course covers purification, wudhu, recitation, prayer movements, common mistakes, and the deeper purpose of solat as our daily return to Allah.
REturn is not only about learning the steps of prayer. It is about understanding what we are doing, why we are doing it, and how solat becomes part of our journey back to Allah.
Course Overview
REturn is conducted as a guided learning journey for those who want to strengthen their understanding and practice of solat.
Alhamdulillah, this will be the 28th intake of REturn.
The sessions combine clear explanations, practical guidance, and space for questions, so participants can revisit the foundations of prayer with more confidence.
The aim is to help participants understand not only how solat is performed, but also the key matters that surround it, including purification, wudhu, cleanliness, intention, recitation, movement, focus, and common issues that may affect the validity of prayer.
-
REturn is suitable for adults who are learning solat for the first time, as well as those who wish to revise and strengthen what they already know.
It is especially suitable for those who have not attended formal lessons before, those who learnt solat when they were younger but need a refresher, and those who are unsure whether their wudhu, recitations, movements, or overall prayer are being performed correctly.
The course is also suitable for those who struggle with doubts, was-was, or consistency in prayer, and prefer to learn in a safe and beginner-friendly environment.
No prior formal background is required.
-
REturn is divided into two parts.
Part 1: Before Solat
This part covers the foundations that must be understood before standing in prayer, including sacred law, purification, cleanliness, najāsah, ritual impurity, ghusl, and wuḍūʾ.Part 2: The Solat
This part covers the prayer itself, including azān and iqāmah, the conditions of ṣalāh, prayer times, intention, movements, recitations, obligatory acts, sunnah acts, common mistakes, sujūd sahwi, and matters that nullify the prayer.
The course will also address practical issues that many adults quietly struggle with, such as doubts during prayer, was-was, uncertainty about cleanliness, and questions related to the validity of solat.Alongside the practical aspects, participants will also be guided to understand the meaning and purpose of solat as a daily act of worship, gratitude, discipline, and return to Allah.
-
REturn is conducted fully online over 10 live sessions via Zoom.
Each session is structured to help participants learn step by step, with clear explanations, practical guidance, and space for questions throughout the course.
As recordings will not be provided, participants are encouraged to attend each session on time. The lessons are designed to build gradually from one session to the next.
-
Participants will be given access to the REturn course notes through a private course notes page.
Printed copies of the REturn book will be available separately at SGD $18 per copy.
Participants in Singapore may arrange for self-collection.
International participants who would like a printed copy may request one, with additional international shipping charges.
-
Many adults carry questions about solat that they have never had the chance to ask.
At Revamp, we try to create a learning space that is safe, respectful, and beginner-friendly. Participants are not expected to know everything before they come. The purpose of REturn is to help each person begin, revise, and strengthen their practice with clarity and confidence.
The sessions are taught in a way that is practical, relatable, and grounded in real-life concerns, so participants can learn without feeling judged, rushed, or overwhelmed.
