REcite - 25th Intake
A beginner-friendly Qurʾān recitation course for youths and adults
Would you like to be able to read the Qurʾān in Arabic without depending on transliterations?
Many people want to recite the Qurʾān, but they do not know where to begin.
Some can recognise a few Arabic letters. Some memorised al-Fātiḥah and short sūrahs by listening. Some read duʿāʾ and żikr through transliterations. Some have always wanted to learn, but kept delaying because they felt shy, too old, too slow, or too far behind.
REcite is a beginner-friendly online course designed to help youths and adults build the foundations of Qurʾān recitation step by step.
This course is not about rushing. It is not about embarrassing anyone. It is not about expecting you to know everything before you begin.
It is for those who want to start properly, learn patiently, and slowly build the ability to read the Qurʾān in Arabic with more confidence, care, and love.
Course Overview
REcite is a foundational Qurʾān recitation course for beginners.
Participants will be guided through the basics of recognising Arabic letters, understanding the signs and vowels, pronouncing letters correctly, joining letters together, and reading simple Qurʾānic words and verses.
The course is conducted online in a safe and structured manner, with clear explanations, guided practice, and opportunities for correction.
The aim is to help participants move away from depending only on transliterations, and begin developing the ability to read Qurʾān directly from the Arabic text.
-
REcite is suitable for youths and adults who are new to Qurʾān reading, or who still struggle with the basics.
It is especially suitable for those who:
read duʿāʾ or żikr using transliterations
memorised al-Fātiḥah or short sūrahs by listening
can recognise some Arabic letters but cannot read fluently
feel shy to join a Qurʾān class because they are beginners
want to restart their Qurʾān journey from the basics
have always wanted to read the Qurʾān in Arabic but never had the chance
want a safe and patient space to learn without judgement
No formal Qurʾān recitation background is required.
-
REcite will guide participants through the basic foundations needed to begin reading the Qurʾān in Arabic.
Participants will learn:
Arabic letters and their sounds
How to recognise letters in different forms
Short vowels and long vowels
Basic signs used in Qurʾān reading
How to join letters and sounds together
Common pronunciation mistakes
Basic tajwīd awareness
Reading simple Qurʾānic words and verses
Recitations commonly used in solat
Building confidence to recite aloud
The focus is not on perfection overnight. The focus is on beginning properly, correcting gently, and building confidence one step at a time.
-
REcite will be conducted fully online through live Zoom sessions.
The sessions will take place every Wednesday from 5 August to 14 October 2026.
Each session will include explanation, guided reading, practice, and correction. Participants are encouraged to attend live, as Qurʾān recitation is best learnt through listening, repetition, and direct guidance.
Recordings will not replace the value of being present, listening carefully, and practising together.
-
Participants will be given access to the REcite course notes through a private course notes page.
Printed copies of the REcite book will be available separately at SGD $18 per copy.
Participants in Singapore may arrange for self-collection.
International participants who would like a printed copy may request one, with additional international shipping charges.
-
Many adults carry a quiet sadness when it comes to Qurʾān recitation.
They want to read, but they feel embarrassed. They want to learn, but they feel too late. They want to improve, but they do not know who to ask or where to begin.
At Revamp, we believe learning should feel safe.
You do not need to pretend. You do not need to be fluent before joining. You do not need to feel ashamed for starting late.
REcite is a space for beginners to begin again, slowly, sincerely, and with support.
Because the Qurʾān was not sent only for those who already know how to read.
It was sent as guidance for all of us.

Closing Call
If you have been depending on transliterations for too long, this may be the right time to begin. Come as you are. Even if you are slow. Even if you are shy. Even if you feel like everyone else is ahead. Begin with one letter. Then another. And inshaAllah, step by step, the words of the Qurʾān will no longer feel so far away.
