Revamp100 - Keeping the Ship of Revamp Sailing

Assalāmu‘alaikum wr wb

It is heavy on me to send this message, but we are in a situation that requires me to reach out. As you know, every gathering at Revamp carries a cost. For some time now, we have been quietly sustaining about $13,000 in monthly expenses, including $6,500 for rental and bills alone. Starting this November, the rental will increase by another $1,500.

In the past, Revamp was able to sustain itself through its small businesses such as the café and wedding services. But since Covid, those sources of support have ceased, and we have been carrying the costs quietly, month after month.

There were moments I honestly thought of letting go of having a space for Revamp. But the heart of Revamp is in the gatherings, and without a space, that heart would be lost. That thought is what keeps me holding on a little longer.

Because of this, we are launching Revamp100, an initiative to invite 100 supporters to help shoulder this weight by contributing $50 a month for the next 10 months, beginning in November 2025. Not as fees, but as a shared social responsibility. A share in every Quran recited, every prayer made, every soul touched, every child taught, every gathering where hearts remember Allah, every tea poured, and every meal shared that makes sure no one leaves Revamp hungry.

We will also need part of this support to refresh and enhance our current premise. It has been seven years since we first moved in, and the space now needs some renovation and liveliness to maintain comfort and cleanliness, and to keep it welcoming for all who walk through our doors.

Over the years, we have witnessed countless moments of change and renewal within these walls, including converts embracing Islam almost every year. Every effort made to keep Revamp alive has carried with it unseen ripples of guidance, healing, and hope.

With your help, we hope to sustain our gatherings, employ a dedicated staff to strengthen our outreach and projects, and take bold steps towards bigger goals, such as securing a permanent space for Revamp, inshāAllāh.

We chose the number 100 because it represents shared commitment. It’s not just about covering costs, but about having 100 individuals who consciously stand together to carry Revamp. When support comes with commitment, it brings stability and strength to the work we do.
Because $50 from each keeps Revamp steady and staffed.
The amount of $50 a month is set for those who have the means to contribute consistently. This collective support of 100 contributors will provide around $5,000 monthly, enough to cover the rental increase and to employ one dedicated staff member. Those who take part in this share in the reward of keeping Revamp’s space alive and sustaining the person who helps it grow and serve better.
Because 10 months remind us to strive, not settle.
We chose 10 months, not a year, because we want to give ourselves a clear window to focus, to push, and to build Revamp to a point where it can stand stronger without relying solely on donations. It’s a reminder to strive together, with intention and hope, that within these months, we will lift Revamp to the next level.

Contribution Details

We are looking at standing instructions of $50 a month for 10 months to help keep the ship sailing, sustaining Revamp’s monthly expenses, supporting the upcoming rental increase, and enabling us to employ a dedicated staff who can help grow Revamp’s sustainability.

With a dedicated staff, we can manage our programmes more effectively, improve administration, and strengthen our marketing and outreach. This will also allow Revamp to generate new forms of revenue and reduce our long-term reliance on donations.
