Opening Intention for Gatherings

بِسْمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيْمِ

الْفَاتِحَةُ، أَنَّ اللهَ يَفْتَحُ قُلُوبَنَا، وَيُصْلِحُ نِيَّاتِنَا وَمَقَاصِدَنَا، وَيَجْعَلُ فِي هَذَا الْمَجْلِسِ الصِّدْقَ وَالْإِخْلَاصَ وَالرَّحْمَةَ

نَسْأَلُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَ هَذَا اللِّقَاءَ سَبَبًا لِلْهِدَايَةِ وَالْوُضُوحِ وَالنَّفْعِ، وَأَنْ يَجْعَلَ فِيهِ الْخَيْرَ وَالْبَرَكَةَ

وَأَنَّ اللهَ يَفْتَحُ لَنَا فَتْحًا مِنْ عِنْدِهِ، وَيُنَزِّلُ عَلَيْنَا نُورًا مِنْ نُورِهِ، وَيُنْزِلُ عَلَى قُلُوبِنَا رَحْمَتَهُ

وَأَنَّ اللهَ يَشْرَحُ صُدُورَنَا، وَيُيَسِّرُ أُمُورَنَا، وَيُلْهِمُنَا الصِّدْقَ وَالْإِخْلَاصَ فِي أَقْوَالِنَا وَأَعْمَالِنَا

نَسْأَلُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْمَعَنَا عَلَيْهِ، وَأَنْ لَا يَجْعَلَ فِي هَذَا الْمَجْلِسِ حَظًّا لِلنَّفْسِ، وَأَنْ لَا يَجْعَلَ فِيهِ شَيْئًا لِغَيْرِهِ، وَأَنْ يَجْعَلَ هَذَا مَجْلِسَ ذِكْرًا وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً، خَالِصًا لِوَجْهِهِ

اللّٰهُمَّ ارْزُقْنَا صِدْقَ الْإِقْبَالِ وَكَمَالَ الْقَبُولِ
عَلَى هٰذِهِ النِّـيَّـةِ، وَكُلِّ نِـيَّـةٍ صَالِحَةٍ

وَإِلَى حَضْرَةِ النَّبِيِّ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ

الْفَاتِحَةُ

In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.

We recite al-Fatihah with the intention that Allah opens our hearts, rectifies our intentions and aims, and places truth, sincerity, and mercy in this gathering.

We ask Allah to make this meeting a means of guidance, clarity, and benefit, and to place within it goodness and blessing.

And that Allah grants us an opening from His presence, sends down upon us light from His light, and pours His mercy into our hearts.

And that Allah expands our hearts, makes our affairs easy, and inspires us with truthfulness and sincerity in our words and actions.

We ask Allah to gather us for Him alone, not to place in this gathering any share for the ego, nor anything for other than Him, and to make it a gathering of remembrance, guidance, and mercy, purely for His sake.

O Allah, grant us sincere turning to You and complete acceptance.

With this intention, and every righteous intention, and in honour of the presence of the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ, Al-Fatihah.
