Revamp Qurban 2026
Qurban 2026
with Revamp
An annual effort in feeding the poor, seeking Allah’s forgiveness, and sustaining the ongoing work of Revamp.
Submission deadline: 26 May 2026
The spirit of qurban
Behind every qurban is obedience.

Behind every qurban is obedience, and a hope for acceptance, forgiveness, and closeness to Allah.

Through it, we hope to play our small part in feeding those in need, seek Allah’s forgiveness and acceptance, and continue supporting the community, educational, and youth efforts carried out by Revamp throughout the year.

For many of us who are unable to be among the pilgrims of Hajj this year, qurban becomes our humble share in these sacred days, hoping that Allah looks upon us with mercy, forgiveness, and acceptance.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Where will the qurban be carried out?

All qurban arrangements for 2026 will take place in Indonesia, inshāAllāh. Revamp representatives will be present on the ground to oversee and follow through the qurban process directly.

Will Revamp be present there?

Yes. Revamp representatives will be present on the ground in Indonesia to oversee the qurban arrangements and distribution process, inshāAllāh.

When will the qurban be performed?

The qurban will be carried out during the days of Tashrīq, on the 10th, 11th, 12th or 13th of Zulhijjah, inshāAllāh.

Can qurban be performed every year?

Yes. Qurban is a sunnah muakkadah for those who are able. If Allah has blessed a person with the means, it is encouraged to perform qurban regularly.

Can qurban be performed for children?

It is permissible for parents or guardians to perform qurban on behalf of their children. However, it is not an obligation upon the child, especially if the child has not yet reached maturity.

Can qurban be done for deceased loved ones?

It is more advisable to perform the qurban under one’s own name and gift the reward, pahala, by intention to deceased loved ones. As for performing qurban specifically on behalf of the deceased, this is generally done when there was a will or request made by the deceased before passing away. Allah knows best.

What is the difference between qurban, sadaqah and aqiqah?

Qurban is an ibadah performed during the days of Zulhijjah by those who are able, and it comes with its own rulings and intentions. Sadaqah may be done at any time throughout the year and is broader in nature. Aqiqah is a separate sunnah performed as a form of gratitude upon the birth of a child.

When should aqiqah be performed?

It is sunnah to perform aqiqah on the 7th day after the birth of the child. However, if it is delayed, it may still be performed later. If the child reaches maturity before the aqiqah is performed, it is encouraged for the child to perform it personally if he or she wishes to do so.

Is it permissible for the one intending qurban to cut hair or nails?

It is encouraged for those intending to perform qurban to refrain from cutting their hair and nails upon the entering of the first ten days of Zulhijjah until their qurban has been carried out. This is based on the hadith of the Prophet ﷺ: “When the ten days begin and one of you intends to offer a sacrifice, let him not remove anything from his hair or nails.” Narrated by Muslim. Allah knows best.

Can non Muslims receive qurban meat?

Yes. It is permissible to distribute qurban meat to non Muslims as part of kindness, neighbourliness, and community care.

Can all the qurban meat be given away?

Yes. A person may choose to distribute all or a large portion of the qurban meat to those in need.

Will participants receive updates?

Yes. Participants will receive photo updates and a qurban certificate after the qurban has been completed, inshāAllāh.
